A maple syrup company purchased a telemetry system to monitor the pressure of the collection network. The data collected is important to ensure the proper functioning of sap collection.

The system in question displays the data on a web page that must be consulted manually and manipulated by a human.

The objective was to find a way to convert the display of data to broadcast it dynamically and without human intervention on a fixed television, visible to workers.

We developed a custom algorithm to collect data from the existing system that did not provide an API. Then, we used NodeRED to recreate a dynamic display and organize the data according to the geographic location of the collector lines.

We deployed the system on a small Linux server connected to the local screen and we orchestrate it remotely. We manage the operating system updates and ensure that the data collection remains functional.

Maple syrup operators can now see live pressure levels of all lines at a glance. Data is collected automatically and displayed live on the screen.

Hosting is managed remotely by CODE 201, ensuring the client’s peace of mind.
